you got me good on the "trained attack dogs"RLMAO!
That was funny.
But ya know.....
At one time we had three dogs. Two Goldens where the wifey's and the GSD was mine. My GSD was VERY Alpha. I picked her out of the litter because I could tell she was Alpha and very intelligent. The oldest of the Goldens was also Alpha over the youngest.
My wifey really loved the oldest Golden because when the wifey was living alone in an apartment, that sweet mild mannered couch potato of a Golden almost ate someone trying to sneak into the apartment late one night.

Good dog. :licking:
The youngest golden had the sweetist disposition I have ever seen in a dog. My nickname for her was Lady. Because she was one.
When we introduced my GSD to the two Goldens we were very concerned about my Alpha GSD and the Alpha Golden. We really expected problems from those two.
The three stood around sniffing each other......
Then.......
Without warning....
Something sparked.....
AND BOOM!
The two Goldens started fighting. :confused2: I DO mean fighting. Snarling, biting, growling, wads of hair, and dust flying through the air fighting. Wifey grabbed one Golden and I got the other.
We all sat there huffing and puffing wondering what the heck happened.
My GSD had this look of disbelieve on her face. What the heck was that all about? Here we are just sniffing each other's rear ends, saying Hey, getting to know each other and then this angst shows up? Why?
What happened was the new dog, my GSD, changed the pack dynamic and the pack hierarchy was up for grabs.

We were not surprised by the change in dynamics but we were shocked that the two best buddy Goldens went at it and especially Lady. She had some build up angst against the other Golden. A LOT of angst.

That sweetist of dog might turn very vicious in the right circumstances. Attacking another member of the pack might set them off. The two leg critters are part of the pack just like the four legged critters.
