hitch modification for small garden tractors to haul log splitters

Good Morning,

I candidly do not remember if I saw
this in the John Deere Garden tractor
with the custom fabricated raised ball hitch
for taller log splitters here on TBN or
on My Tractor Forum.

The raised hitch is perfect for my log
splitter as the ball mount is over a
foot taller than my pin hitch reciever on
my garden tractor.

If someone could steer me back to it
I would sincerly appreciate the help as
we all know the snow is coming and I
want to be able to move my log splitter
with the garden tractor as the truck is too
big there is much less room to manuever
in my back yard.

I don't know the thread but I would just get a standard 14' drop sleeve for a hitch and bolt it to your current hitch...upside down to create a lift hitch.

Here is my setup on a '99 JD 425. It clears the sway chains and PTO shaft perfectly.
