Heres one of our Fordsons with a Hiab and a Logsplitter

The Hiab is mounted on the back driven off the hydrolics and the there is a sprial log splitter on the side.

Im very late finding this post but thats some great work! Im looking at doing something simular with a hiab, hopefully will be as successful. Well done!

Nice set up. Those are some big logs. In my area of Maine, in the US they'd go for sawlogs and the small stuff would be for the stove, best value for the wood. But lately I've seen some 100 year old maples cut in town for firewood.
We call that a cherry picker for loading and moving logs. A guy up the road has one mounted on an old excavator he's taken the track off.
Sure is a handy tool. And I like that heavy anvil swinging there. Looks like a 200 lb+!
