Tractor
ford 9n
just bought a ford 9n (46 years old and i FINALLY own a tractor!)..looking for some help with how the lift works..my old neighbor had a massey50(that i loved more than him)that would lift without the pto being on,my 9n wont ;( Am i doing something wrong? Assuming this is just the way 9n's are,is there anyway to make the lift work without the pto turned on(not fun getting it out of my barn with stuff flying off the bushhog)?

Perhaps if you post your thread in the Vintage Tractor forum here on TBN, you may receive more insight? BTW, welcome aboard.

Welcome to TBN; good old tractors, but it has been so long since I drove one I forgot how they work. I do know the 3PH on our 600's are often reluctant to work right.

Welcome! I am sure that somebody will be able to answer your question.

We had on old 9 back in the 70's, and I am pretty sure that isn't normal. Why it is doing that - have no clue.

Good luck.
