I have a Ford 1620 and am looking to up grade to a larger tractor for the amount of snow clearing and yard work . I am hoping to see some of the info on this group to help me find another tractor (larger of course) as I don't want to give away my 1620 with the front end blower/ bucket and back blade for what the local dealers are offering for a trade in value of 10K. So I'm hoping to find a suitable 50 - 60 hp. with angle blade and bucket to do the heavy work I want to do. Just looking for advise for a second hand that is reliable. New Brunswick , Canada. Welcome to TBN. Tractorhouse.com has 7 Ford 1620's, some with blowers for between $8500 and $10,500, so the trade in offer does not seem out of line. But yours may be low hours in excellent condition, so it could be worth more. I like to trade in my equipment so I don't have to deal with it breaking a week after I sell it to another person.

As for an angle plow on a bigger machine, I have a 7.5' plow on a smaller machine that works great. Weight is your friend when plowing, and my tractor weighs about 5,000 lbs with loaded tires, the FEL and plow and blower on the back. Plows everything I have asked of it. My tractor is a re-badged LS. They sell LS as its own brand now, and they are known to have a lot of bang for the buck so check them out if you have a dealer nearby.

My plow is an old Meyer setup from a pickup that sat in the weeds for many years. Paid $300 for it. My FIL helped me weld it onto a quick attach plate and I threw a new edge and paint on it. Should last longer than I will!
