I finally signed up to this forum. Been ogling it when it lets me read stuff, so i decided to jump in!!! I am from Louisiana and are a new proud owner of a new to me but old Ford diesel 3000. Pretty sure i decipher the numbers and my tractor is a 1965 model. The original owner bought it new and used it till he died. Then it sat up in a broken down barn for several years. The son decided to sell it to a family friend. He got it two- three weeks ago and she fired right up with a hot battery. He in turn sold it relatively on the cheap side to me. All in all she seems to run very well. Needs work yes, fluids changed and wiring. Needs a paint job but i drove it around for an hour and bought it. And now the tinkering BEGINS!!!! lol I like piddling with stuff. I hope to use her mainly as a grass cutter for around my shop, then haul it to the deer fields this fall for prepping them.
This looks to be a neat site and as others i am members of, they have a wealth of valuable information just laying there for one to read. Looking forward to making new friends as well. I mainly read and gawk but i have been know to chime in as well.
