1954 Ford 600
Here's a pic of my tractor plowing snow. 1954 Ford 600 with a bucket on the front and a grader blade on the 3 point. Snow plowing is mostly what it gets used for, but also some dirt moving and grading sometimes, or pulling out stuck cars. This was during an epic 40+ inch storm a few years ago. This year we have zilch for snow... I think we got 6" a few times so far -- still driving the prius around without any plowing. I live in the mountains of Colorado at 9,300 feet elevation.

To the TBN forum Yewdall. We are glad that you joined.

You have started off RIGHT by posting a picture of your tractor. A lot of people on here have never seen a tractor that old before except maybe in a museum.

I'm surprised you can drive the Prius in snow. We had a Prius for a work car, anything over 2 inches of snow, and the traction control wouldn't let the wheels spin even a millimeter. The car would barely creep, you couldn't get up a head of steam. If you were on bare blacktop, and going across an intersection with a small patch of ice, it would instantly come to almost a complete stop. Decent cars otherwise, but hated the traction control.

Looks like that Ford 600 had better traction control.

I run studded snows on the Prius, and I think it may not have the traction control, since it's a cheap stripped down model (model 2 prius C instead of the regular prius). It does well into about 4 or 5" of snow usually. But yes, the tractor does much much better :) :) I've driven it through 2 feet of snow just fine :)
