There are several JD 7410 hi crops for sale locally for between 8-10k. This looks so good, it must be too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this? I'm guessing there's an issue with the drawbar and lift arm height? Could it work? Any personal experience? I'm getting tired of being burnt out at the end of the day on the ole 3020. That cab and a/c would be so nice!

You should reread you post, but wait until around noon.

Normally if something advertised for sale "sounds too good to be true" it usually is a SCAM!!!!!!!! I bet a 7410 HC cab tractor will go to salvage yard for close to $8K or more.

I think it makes sense.... I'm looking at upgrading to a specific tractor for a specific use, but realize there may be some troubles with what I'm wanting to do. Is it feasible, and has anyone else ever tried this

Have you personally seen these tractors or just an advertisement?

These are local tractors. I know the farmers, and some of them I trust. They claim the reason for the price is because they are hi crop, and people don't want that. And that's all they would get if they traded them in. There's just a lot of cane farmers here, so that's why there are plenty of these for sale. My biggest concern is whether or not my cutter will hook on the 3 pt, and whether or not my baler will work with a taller drawbar. I know that I can't put a loader on it. But I just want it for the cab and for the age, relative to my current tractor.

Pretend for a moment this was a standard configuration 7410. Will your implements be suitable for that much more tractor? Probably not.

I've seen ho crop pull regular implements mainly drawbar pull. It can work.
