Hi all,
I am a new member from Southern IL (Evansville). I am looking for a Ford 8n and have been looking through your forums!! I love the build-it -yourself page!! Had a tractor lined up but the owner just wouldnt negotiate!! ($50 lower then asking price!!!?) Anyway my search goes on!!

there is a few in normal/bloomington area, along with peoria,il area as well that show up on craigslist every so often. they won't negotiate price for the last few years is what i am assuming. due to price never changes.

Welcome from the St Louis side of Illinois

I cut my teeth on an 8n and owned it for 30 years. Used it mostly for brush hogging and road grading. I sold it just a few weeks ago just due to never using it any more since I have other tractors that offer a little more capability than the 8N.

I just looked on the Stl craigslist which is only a few hours from you. Looks like there are dozens currently for sale over here, starting around $ 750 with many in the $ 1500 range. This may be similar to the availability on your side of the state and everywhere else for that matter. 8n's are quite plentiful.
