Tractor
Kubota L3430
Been reading on the forums for a while now. Have a small 5 acre ranch, and looking to lease a 100 acres to run some cattle on. Been shopping for a tractor to do some fencing with and brush clearing as well as moving firewood, cleaning stalls and other fun chores that will make my life easier. Was originally looking at a skid steer, but started looking at compact tractors...

Checking out the Kubota L3800, and Kioti CK35 + DS3510. Still trying to decide which I want to go with. Leaning towards the DS3510 right now, not to mention Kioti has some killer financing deals. Would get it with FEL and a backhoe, plus box scraper to start with.... Then possibly add on a grapple bucket and auger down the road.

Both are excellent tractors.

Will you have enough use to justify $7,000 (est.) for a backhoe, which will also tie up the Three Point Hitch? Will not a Rip & Dig or Bucket Spade attachment on your FEL bucket serve, for <$400, and leave your Three Point Hitch open?

For brush clearing you probably want a Ratchet Rake.

I will look into a "ratchet rake".... As for the backhoe. I have a ton of stumps to remove, tons of irrigation to put in, in ground power lines to put in. I had a Deere 310 backhoe at my place for a month and used it a ton, so I can justify the hoe... The dealer said they are easy enough to remove when its not needed...

So Kioti dealer just called, he can get me OTD for $27,445 on the DS3510. Includes loader, backhoe, and a gearmore box scraper; and he will deliver it. Thats with the 0% 60month financing... Wow, I thought it would have been more.. Going to take a look at the Kubota L3800 tomorrow and see what they can do, but I have a feeling Monday morning I will be ordering a Kioti.. :D
