I had a young lady call me today who needs help pricing some welding equipment. I haven't seen this young lady in about 18-years but she remembered I worked as a weldor, and her aunt is my wife's best friend. This girl had her husband killed the first of the year:(, and now she needs to liquidate his equipment. She lives in the Austin Texas area, and I'm in the North West so I'm not real familiar with pricing in her area. Any idea what this equipment might bring in?

Bad choice of words I guess.

If that was the case, my wife would have had me killed years ago.

Search the local Craigs List. Log on to your list, then select the list in her area.
Give you some ideas and local prices.

In my area a Tombstone goes from $75 to $250. Haven't seen the things you list, but have not really looked.

I'd think the idealarc should go for more than $250. I see AC/DC tombstones go for that, that this is a pretty good step above that.

But yeah, the only way is to start watching CL or ebay auctions and see what they sell for, then use that as your basis.

shield arc i said depends on age whether it cranks smokes or welds.i have seen sa 200s bring $500 or less with problems.i think $3000 would not be too much for a good one .idealarc's like that one are old . some parts are not available.that equals low price.

I knew the SA-200s were really sought after through out the Mid West, but I didn't think they were this much:cool:. The machine in this Craig's list ad doesn't have a Cable remote, where as the one I pictured does. You can see the toggle switch in the face plate, the girl says she has the remote, she just has to find it.
