SIR,
you should keep the concrete wet down with water,
and the cure will be better. you should do this for
several days. i did not do this, and now my pad is not
in good shape.

wet it down and cover with plastic.... do this every day for at least a week and if it is extremely hot, continue to do this until you are ready to build. If it dries too fast, then it will crack and the top surface will chip off easily. The idea is to keep the moisture in and the concrete grey in color...
