Got rid of the other dealer. Too many "discrepancies". /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif Found a good dealer and here is the pricing on a MF 1528 4WD, manual trans, MF 1520 FEL w/quick detach, MF 2005 rotary mower (bush hog), MF 1751 rear discharge finishing mower, 55 gal broadcast & hand sprayer, MF 5ft (450) disc harrow, MF larger (red) canopy, 330lb spreader, MF 9" auger, R4 fluid filled tires

$22,325. I believe it's a good price. Let me know if I'm off. This is a really nice tractor for someone who wants something not too large or too small and underpowered. Hope this helps anyone looking /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I'd still like some more opinions on a bush hog. MF is pricey, but has stronger steel than the Bush Hog Squealer 600. But the Squealer has a lower and faster cut. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Just trying to add everything up off hand, I bet that you can get it for about $1000-1500 less. Unless I haven't added enough for the increase in fuel and steel. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

What is MF(larger) red canopy? I've only seen white canopy. Is it metal, like older style FOPS, or plastic like newer white canopy? ...and, do they make one that fits my 1523?

The (bad) dealer said it was a MF. I did not ask the new dealer, but he knows I wanted everything MF brand. No it's not plastic, it's steel. It covers more, looks more proportionate and was $399. I would say most likely yes on your model, because I saw several larger tractors with this canopy. Boone Tractors in Salem, VA was the good dealer, they were straight up and competitive.

Any opinion on a MF Bush Hog 2005 vs the Bush Hog Squealer? I will use this alot and don't want to make a mistake. On a regular lawn, if you set it to a lower cut, will it look nice or heavily grooved?

The Bush Hog squeeler is an entry level rotary mower. The 2005 MF is heavier. Depends on what you want to do. Either will probably fit your needs. I am partial to MF red but it is your call. Like I said, both are good.
