Herd spreader quick hitch mod

Got my modifications done to my Herd spreader so that I can use it with my John Deere quick hitch. Basically I just welded a couple pieces of angle iron to the uprights that were drilled for a 3/4 inch pin. I used bushings from Tractor Supply. I probably should have drilled the holes just slightly further forward as the quick hitch hook is a tight fit against the spreader hopper. I'm not an accomplished welder by any mean but I figure they don't need to be terribly strong since all the weight of the spreader is on the bottom pins. The upper pin is mainly to keep the unit upright. Should make using the spreader quicker and easier.

Very nice, I am fighting the same battle know with some of my implements. Just a fraction of an inch makes such a difference.
