Herd M96 on BX?

I talked to Dan? Herd who was extremely helpful. I really want to buy a spreader from them but he mentioned that on a BX that the PTO shaft might have to be so short that the 3pt hitch will be limited (if I raise and lower it it can destroy the spreader). Anyone use these or other spreaders on a newer BX ? Mine is a 08 BX24.

I have used the Herd spreader for a number of years now on a BX2200. No problem. Just cut the pto shaft as normally recommended for max and min travel.

Herd 96 works on my BX2200.

Yup - just cut the pto shaft a bit shorter. bushhog has really nice instructions for modifying thier pto shaft for thier tillers online. Just head over thier thier website and pick a model and thumb through the manual.
