Spreader Herd 5.5 sand spreader ?

They make both 12V and PTO models. They don't have a model 5.5 listed. You can check them all out here:

I am asking about the 5.5 sander
My work ordered one last week and they planned on using it as a 12v setup
The tractor we are putting it on does not have rear PTO

I just ordered a 5.5 myself. I'm nearly 100% positive it is pto driven. With the aggressive sand agitator, I would think a very large (high amp draw) 12V motor would be required. A hydraulic motor would probably work much better. In fact, I am pretty sure that there is a hydraulic drive option for Herd's 750 spreader.
