help with vin #

Hello, so we finally drug out my Grandpa's old Ford 4000, select o shift, diesel. Can anyone help me with some info to find the vin #, we have not had any luck. It runs great, but i need a few things for it, like a front rim etc, any help would be appreciated! here is a few pics

Tractors do not have VINs, nor titles. That is two reasons thieves steal tractors frequently.

Fill in your location as part of the T-B-N profile. When members know where you are they will help with the wheel rim you need for the Ford 4000. What is the rim size you need? As you know, tractors have multiple tire options, each requires a different rim.

yep, just aft of the starter on the bellhousing. Note.. on many diesels you will just find a pitted area and no numbers due to battery acid.

still.. won't matter a bit for rims.

most common is a 16" implement rim up front, and ultimately, you just look at the tire and can go by the tire as to which rim you need, if there are 2 different possibilities on width.. etc.
