Help with understanding my new HST tractor

If you are going to be leaving your fluid in, I would suggest getting an oil sample analysis to be sure its still up to snuff. usually costs around $30. A visual inspection does not cover all that is of concern. Viscosity and film strength can deteriorate and are very important. As well as any other chemicals that may have been introduced to the system, that will not be filtered out.

My personal preference is to change the oil after the first 50 hours.

I'll second that, also many tractors will have a magnetic plug that needs to be pulled and cleaned as well as a screen on the inlet of the system that should be cleaned either of these will require draining the system. The operators manual will give the minimum fluid specifications and maximum hours and time between filter and fluid changes.
Enjoy it.

Thanks for all the input and help guys. I have ordered a owners manual for tractor and loader. I will be getting the hyd and trans filter from a close by dealer and I will be dumping all the oil and changing oil/filters. That is the last thing I have left to do.
Engine oil/filter done
Checked all mounting bolts on loader done
Topped up Anti-Freeze done
Front axle oil changed done

Once again thanks for the help I look forward to being a full time member on the forum.
