I am looking for a sprocket for a #55 flat chain that has 18 teeth. I saw one on a piece of equipment that someone built. I have been unable to locate one. Any ideas? I have scoured the web.

Thanks, Brix

Often the biggest problem is having the correct name of what you are searching for.

When you say "flat chain" are we talking about a bicycle or motorcycle style or something completely different, a conveyor chain perhaps?

It would be a conveyor style chain. I can find sprockets just not one this large. It looked to be about 8 inches in diameter.

Could you post some photos of what you are trying to do.

What size sprockets can you get?

It may be possible to achieve the same speed results using sprockets on a shaft supported by two pillow blocks driven by another sprocket.

Hello Dave 7040,

The number 55 flat detatchable link chain is the type used for bucket elevators and very small manure spreaders.
