I bought a new GC2400 with a 5' mower deck front end loader and frame mount snow blade. It is a hair over 5 years old and good shape with 367 hours on it. I need to sell it and want your idea of a fair price. It has been well maintained. I also have a 5' KK tiller, a 4' rotary cutter, a 1300 a PTO generator, a 5' landscape (york) rake, post hole digger, carry all, potato plow, Chains for all 4 wheels and a 3PH trailer hitch. Everything works as it should. Thanks for your help. Ed

Ed, Did you buy it just to resell? How come you wouldn't resell what you already had and then keep thisone for you? Maybe you could sell some of the implements and keep some ?

That wasn't the question?

Well, I would start out looking at tractorhouse.com for a fair market idea of the worth of your GC2400. I think it is probably worth between 10 - 11K all by itself. I don't know if it has modifications or extras. The other things will also hold their value especially that tiller this time of year.

I have used them for 5 years but now it is time to downsize. We are in the process of buying a house with 1/3 acre lot. A subcompact tractor would not be the best tool for the job of taking care of our new home. Ed

If you want to move it all at once, which IMO, is the best way to insure you are not left with a couple pieces of limited market eq, then have your local eq dealer appraise the lot and go from there. The tractor, mower, tiller, and post hole auger likely are quick sellers. IMO. Have that lot appraised, and throw the rest in as bonus. This should really catch someone's eye in an ad and make a quick sale. IMO. I know if freight did'nt cost more than the tractor to get it here, I'd even consider making an offer.

If you were closer I would snag the post hole digger off you. I would make you a fair offer of 750. Hope that helps you establish a market for that implement.

Thanks everyone, Deezl I agree with you about all for one price. I don't want to be stuck with a couple pieces that I have to move and have nowhere to store out of the weather. I have a couple coming this weekend that are interested. They just got a house with 20 ac and have lived on a small lot so they need a tractor. I am asking $16,500 for the lot, with a fuel tank and about 35 gal of fuel. Hope they bite. that is way less than I paid for the tractor, mower, loader and snowplow. Ed

I wish I knew a little more about used implement values to offer an opinion. A GC2400 I asdume is near identical to a gc1705 except for a shorter warranty and some loader differences. I saw a lightly used GC1705 for sale recently with fel for 10,500 for a 2014 with the dl100 loader and that seemed like a good price . . and a mmm should hold most of its value pretty well . . but you have a bunch of good implements that rwally moves value up considerably. Also your geographic location makes a big difference too.

I don't doubt your unut will sell fine. I just wonder what it will be like to go from tractor fatherhood to being an orphaned past owner. Somevday most of us will go through it . . . but only having become a tractor owner/father . . I can't imagine waving it goodbye as it moves on to another family.

I owned a 369 ac farm and had to sell out and I can tell you it was one of the hardest days of my life. It was not just the tractor, my cows were the hardest part, and I had to move from the land my great grandfather farmed. Felt like a failure for a while but looking back it was for the best. Hope this time will be easier. Just put a down payment on a JD X310 lawn tractor. That might help. Ed
