Good, But you MUST MAKE SURE THE PTO SHAFT IS NOT TO LONG!. If it is, and you raise the tiller up, you can wreck the PTO casing and or damage your tiller.

Now it all makes less sense. What locks it onto the PTO shaft? The instructions say to engage the cardan shaft and check that it is perfectly locked on the tractor. The word "cardan" doesn't show up again anywhere in either the istruction book or parts catalog.

the cardan shaft is the little button, as Kenny said, make sure the shaft is not too long, it might cost you about $4k if it is....general way to tell is with every thing hooked up, see if you can connect/disconnect the pto shaft at the tractor at various lift heights

I've been able to disconnect at every position I've tried, so I should be good. I'm going to put a post-it on it so that the next time I hook it up, I will actually make sure that it will come off at every possible position.

ok, once you have verified the shaft is not too long, you never have to worry about that piece of equipment on that tractor again. just make sure every piece of equipment you buy you check before you work the first time.
