If you don't need the heavier lifting capability of the B7800, the B7500 looks like a good choice provided it is in good shape/good maintenance history/etc.

If you are not looking to do a very large scale landscaping I would vote for the B7500 too. It really depends what you are trying to do. If large volume of dirt and heavy rocks (800lbs or so) are in your plan you might want the B7800. Otherwise I'm certain that the B7500 will do the job and even whistle a tune for you while at it.

I would also double check those prices. you can buy a similar B7800 from Barlows for 1000 less and that's from the dealer.

Used Kubota Tractors

If any of the three meets your needs then my preference in my purchasing always leans toward new or the newest. Time and hours and how it was used and maintained are the major factors to consider in a tractor purchase.. The dealer may also offer some incentives like free fluid and filter supplies for next full service, find you used implements that you need, etc. Also the 2009 is still under factory warranty even though none of them have very many hours but as I stated before, time is also a longevity issue. I've had a B7800 and B3200 and they are both great machines but I wouldn't buy the B7800 back. I used it hard for 3 years and had no issues but it would be over 5 years old now. Get the drift, time or age is important to me. Big issue.

On your two acres, I would suggest the B2320 for a number of reasons. The financing options are great if that matters, the mmm is a drive over deck, the size is as large as I would really want to mow with on 2 acres, the operators station has much more room than the B7500 it replaces, and it has the three range hydro. You also get your choice of tires on a new tractor, and can use the Kubota QA for the loader if you ever want a larger snow bucket, or the forks. The B7800 has a bit more loader capacity if that is really important, but it is otherwise a bit large for your everyday needs. They work OK for mowing in some circumstances, but I still see more used mmm's for the large B's than any other mmm.
You don't talk about the contour of your land, or the chores that you want to accomplish, but I think you would be well matched with the B2320. I've found that I either need something quite a bit larger (moving huge rocks, stumps, etc.) or much more nimble at times. The only other advantage of the B7800 is that it does take a more efficient backhoe. On the other hand, there have been many times in my woods when I had to lift my bucket all the way, and curl it back to gain every inch I could when turning around with a chipper on the back, etc. I sure wouldn't have wanted the longer B7800 on those occassions!
The bottom line is that any of those choices will serve you, but the B2320 is the most ideal............. and is the easiest to refuel too! Have fun with your search!

BTW, if you are planning on a lot of finish grading, or pushing snow I would look also at the 2000 series JD's. I love my B2620, but there have been more than a few times when I wished I had position control on the 3pt, and brakes that were more useable for steering.

Yeah! JohnThomas sure likes his things new and shiny. I prefer that condition when I get my eggs on the breakfast plate. Tractors can be a little dirty and banged up. I would say any of the machines you listed could easily be working just fine for another 20 years if maintained properly.

I just bought a used B7500 with a FEL / 54" mower . A couple of things I like over the newer tractors , there is no kill switch under the seat and I like the ground contact mower .

I am very happy with the size and power . I bought a subsoiler from tractor supply to help with some low areas in my yard and the tractor did not miss a beat with the susoiler buried to the hitch !

I do wish it had the quarter inching valve or position control . I am okay with out it but it would be nice for fine tuning .

I would suggest making a list of your likes and dislikes of each tractor and most importantly stick to your budget .

good luck

The 2003 model. Done deal. Covers all bases. It's still new at 145 hours. Year model makes no difference (for all practical purposes).
