My grandfather gave me this post hole digger quite a while back, after it froze up and he let it sit out in the elements. He passed fairly recently, and I would like to get it going again. I am leaning towards a Land Pride PD series, but that's just a guess.i have it torn down and need to order some bearings and seals and a few other items and need to figure out the brand and model if possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Can't make out any numbers on them, they are in too bad of shape, I tried.

If you can give me the ID, OD and width (or height) of the bearings and seals I might be able to find them in my big cross reference books.

Maybe a Danuser or Champion?

Will do. I will get those as soon as I get home.

That box looks fairly rough shape. There is complete post hole gear box set ups out there, just a thought. I own a couple pieces of equipment from my granddad like the Deere no.15 sub-soiler and a 2 bottom 14 inch Case BER or BAR eagle hitch plow, i get it (y)

Some of that rust remover stuff like evapo-rust might be of a lot of help on that restoration.

I have a yellow one similar to that and it's a Danuser. Here's a pic of a Danuser, but not mine. :)

Looks like mine.
Likely a Danuser like above.
I don’t know the brand but will look for markings if you like.

Any good bearing supply house will be able to measure those and give you the correct bearings/seals.

Kinda looks like a Danuser PhD.
It would make a positive ID if you showed the whole gearbox.
