Help with identifying the model for yard machine garden tractor

Hello All,

Trying to help a neighbor who has this old YardMachine by MTD . Its mower deck belt shredded to pieces so we cant measure and get a replacement. The machine is so old that all tags are gone.
Any help with model or belt size is greatly appreciated.

Looks like he needs the deck drive belt, not deck belt
This model has one belt the moves all the blades and one side has a dbl stack pulley which runs the belt to the engine pulley. So that belt is what he needs and not the 954-0349 one.

Yes sir, that was my fault. Your help is much appreciated and pointed us in the right direction.

if anyone else has problem identifying a belt length, get a length of 1/2" rope, and put that where the belt goes, and mark the size with tape, then measure the length!.. btw, nice tractor 4 speed manual!.. rare these days..

Thanks, that is a 6 speed x 2 as it has a low gear too for forward. I offerred him $100 bucks.. LOL

ok, so its not even the 1/2x90" belt.
We did the rope measurement and its 63.4" belt. Looks like this will need to wait for amazon delivery now

WOOHOO!! That was it. Up and running and again.
The neighbor wont even change oil, just keeps topping it up every year.LOL
Th engine doesnt even smoke, amazing how tough some of these older machines were built compared to the new tin sheets.
