Hey guys been on ytmag.com for a long time and hardly visit this site just because it seems like you guys run some smaller operations or farm more as a hobby but i like the site. Anyways i cant get an answer over there. Got a 9 foot hesston 1320 discbine recently (have yet to pick it up) and there is one bearing in the cutterbar out. How difficult will this be to replace and how should i go through and check for other bad bearings? Have had two mower conditioners, haybines whatever you wanna call um but this is my first discmower.

Assuming the bad bearing is on one of the disc units, you should be able to unbolt it and pull the unit from the top I think. Then change the bearing on the workbench. If it's on an idler I would say you would still have to pull a drive unit to get to it. Some cutter bars you have to slide all the idler and drive assemblies out the end, so you get to inspect them all anyway. I have'nt worked on many Hesston mowers but all the other ones I've done have been similar to this procedure.
