I made a new post because I thought maybe people thought I was listing cross references but I have a problem.

I found these cross reference numbers on a couple of different sites.
Oil Filter - NAPA 1516
Fuel Filter - NAPA 3195
Air Filter - NAPA 2276
I was changing oil and the filter doesn't fit. I went to NAPA website and it says Oil Filter Thread Size (inches) : 3/4 - 16. Any help would be appreciated.

I use a PH3950 from Fram. Here is a cross to the Napa 1381. It has a metric thread of 20x1.50

Dual post here.

The other numbers I listed for the fuel and air will work for you also.

Hi guys,
I used that Napa 1381 oil filter for on Loretta's 284.
I found a Baldwin (B202) cross over with 20 x 1.5mm threads. It's a little larger in diameter and a lot taller. It fits perfectly on her Jinma and has a lot more filtration surface I believe.
Click here for the specs on it: Baldwin B202 Oil Filter Specs

But I didn't buy it from that link.
I found a much better price on this link: Icon Heavy Duty Baldwin B202 Filters
I bought a case of 12 filters for $5.74 each.

I also buy oil filters for my Kama 554 from them.
I had a conversion oil filter installed on my Kama that took a Baldwin B243 filter with 3/4-16 thread. I found a larger Baldwin filter (B2) about the same size as that B202 with the same 3/4-16 thread and bought a case for $3.51 each. The larger filters might be desirable, especially at those prices.

For comparison, I took these photos when I got the B2 filters to replace the B243 I was using on the Kama. I didn't take any of the B202's yet, but you can get an idea from these photos. The sealing gasket is the same size and the filtration material is the same ... just a much larger filter.

I came here looking for help for the oil filter for my 2006 Jinma 284 when I drained my oil and the Purolator crossover wouldn't tighten. Most did not work including the NAPA that I ordered next and several others that I now have stacked up in my garage. I had a WIX filter last that worked well and when I put it back on it blew off when I started the tractor.:mad: In a panic I got the oil filter from my wife's 2005 Prius and it fit perfectly. It was too tiny so I ordered several others which again didn't fit. :eek: I tried both the 3/4 and metric sizes and none worked. I even ordered those that were domed upward inside the filter and they wouldn't tighten.:confused: What I noticed is the short length on the threaded nipple where the filter screws on and the threads were not engaging far enough. The Prius filter had a domed upward area in the filter, but it also had an upward facing threaded area where all the other filters the threads went inward. I just so happened to be changing oil in my 97 Jeep Wrangler and saw that filter had both too and was a bigger filter. I tried it and it fit perfectly. It is readily available at Wal-Mart too. It's the FRAM PH16. It's not a tall filter and is the same length as the factory filter, but it works and I'm happy.:D

If its a Yangdong 385 engine on you tractor, can be confirmed by the data plate on the valve cover, most of us use the Fram PH3950 or equivalent. It would help if you list the numbers you tried. The PH3950 has a metric thread of 20x1.5 while the PH16 you put on is a 3/4 16 thread. I am guessing you have the wrong filter on it now and may blow off also. While the treads are different they are the same filter, that is the PH3950 and PH16 in respect to size and bypass pressure.

Also, I have been told you can take the filter off and unscrew the nipple to lengthen it.. Perhaps yous is screwed in too much?

Here is the filters I use on my 2004 Jinma

Air= Purulator A42019
Oil= Fram PH3950
Fuel= Fram P6503

Been using them for 7 years and around 800 hours with zero issues.

Check that nipple first. I really believe you have the wrong threaded filter on it so be careful and get it changed out.

I also unscrew the nipple on my JM354 and it now takes the standard FL1 Motorcraft filter. I thought Ranch Hand or one of the vendors had a new nipple just for this problem? If I had the filter issue I'd but the new nipple just to be able to use the standard filter. bjr
