Help with BX80-series implements

Hi Guys -

I'm going to be purchasing a BX2380 today or tomorrow. The dealer quoted me on these implements that I'd like to purchase but I don't really know what quality I'm getting from them. I do like that they can all be included in Kubota financing though. What are your thoughts on the below? Should I be looking at any other products from Land Pride/EA that will have more longevity?

Plowing: 60" Hydraulic Blade + Skid Shoes and Rubber edge 60" BX2812 (I have 600-800' of driveway to plow and figured this would be better than a blower)
Grapple: Land Pride SGC05
Rotary Cutter: Land Pride 48" RCR1248
Box Blade: Land Pride 54" BB1254 (also want to use as ballast)

Quick Hitch for 3pt: What should I look at to make adding implements easier to the 3pt?
Lawn Fertilizer Spreader: What spreader would you recommend to fertilize 2 acres of lawn?

Any guidance would be appreciated!

Many here would council a Box Blade and Rear/Angle Blade mostly overlap in function. Perhaps one or the other, not both, to start with.

If a hydraulically operated Rear/Angle Blade is available in 60" size it is NEWS. You will need two, optional rear remote ports to power swivel and tilt of the blade.

BB1254 is light @ 325 pounds Consider upgrading to BB1554 @ 402 pounds.

Thanks. The 60" blade I'm talking about is a front blade for plowing.

Land Pride is partially owned by Kubota. Good implements.

Kubota is making Three Point Hitch rigid, pinned stabilizers optional on smaller and smaller Kubota tractors. I do not know if these are available for a BX. Standard are turnbuckle stabilizers, sometimes called chain stabilizers. You cannot PUSH at all with turnbuckle stabilizers, which you will likely want to do with your Box Blade from time to time. You can PUSH, prudently, with rigid stabilizers. These do make mounting implements easier.

Jeff, do you have current website for Mark Hodges? From your other post, I typed in stabilworks.com and it came up for sale. What am I missing? Thanks, Jon

Mark Hodge is a minister who operated Stabilworks as a side business. As Stabilworks grew, it impinged on his ministry, which is Mark's priority, not tractor parts.

I read recently that he is still producing his excellent stabilizers on a limited basis but sales are by reference.

Check with Kubota. If Kubota does not produced rigid, pinned stabilizers for the BX I will send you Mark Hodge's e-mail address in a private message.

I suggest Kubota first because there is a wait for Mark's made-to-order output and I doubt Mark has produced for the for the new BX if it has unique dimensions, a further complication.

I run the same 60" front blade on about 500ft of driveway and have no real complaints except w/ the rubber edge you will likely not be able to scrap off any compacted or iced down snow real well. I finally just upgraded to a front blower this year but didn't get a chance to use it yet. I just got tired of tearing up the edges of the yard when the ground was too soft still.

Question; what made you go with the rear cutter instead of the belly mower?
I've got 2 acres to mow and 60" belly mower does just fine.

Can't give an info on the grapple or box blade.

I use an agri-fab broadcast spreader like this; Agri-Fab(R) 45-215 - 1 lbs. Tow Type Broadcast Spreader
Don't get this one. The control level is too low and far back to reach while sitting on the tractor. I had to fab up some brackets to extend it closer.
