Can someone tell me what I should do for my 50 hrs service on my L3130? I do also have a loader and backhoe if that matters. I am a mechanic, But will be doing this at my home so if there is something special I would need please let me know, Also If you could tell me what to get for parts that would be great.

Thanks for the help.

You'll need the two hydro filters and an oil filter that you can buy here ( New Page 1 ). The tractor needs 11.5 gallons of SUDT, 6 gallons of oil (diesel rated) and 7 quarts of gear oil for the front axle. Also grease all of the fittings.

Check your owner's manual for the location of all the drain plugs. There are several. The oil pan, for example, has two. Is it HST or GST.? I think the filters are different between those transmissions.

Another thought. I found it easier to service the tractor by setting the loader off and the same would probably apply to the backhoe.

So it's really just a matter of changing the HST oil, Gear oil in Diffs and engine oil correct? How hard is it to do the HST? Are there any trick I need to know? You said 6 gallons on engine oil? Is that correct?

My l3400 takes 6 quarts of oil....I would guess the same for the l3130.

Should I use SUDT or regular UDT for HST? How much do you think the oil will cost for 12 gallons?

Use SUDT, there are posts on this site about the poor performance of the HST on anything else. Kubota is vague on the subject of oils & fluids. I know it is more money. To me it is not worth the arguement if you have a warranty issue. I have a L4400DT which is a "gear" tractor, I am using SUDT in it.

Also, change the fuel filter.

I have an L4400DT and I used SUDT in it for the 50 hour service. I don't plan on using it again. Too expensive. I used it bacause I didn't know any better. The peace of mind was probably worth it and no harm done except to my wallet.

I think if you have an HST or live in a cold climate SUDT might be worth it.

And I might use a multigrade fluid next time rather than UDT. I don't really think there is anything special about an L4400 gear drive that requires Kubota sanctioned hydraulic fluid that cost more than twice as much as comparable fluids.

Again, if the peace of mind is worth it, or you have an HST, it may well be worth it to you.
