In David's neck of the woods the only real danger comes from bears, cougars, coyotes, wild dogs, wild hogs, bob cats, and possibly a few Red wolves up from NC. Not to mention some hungry hillbilly's, I say go for it!:thumbsup:

I have been ready this post and cannot believe how wrong everyone has been. The track is most diffidently a snow Chihuahua. Their feet are large so they can travel over the snow without sinking in just like snowshoes. I am positive that Rick has a few around his place in Alaska, very common there.

looks like a small mountain lion to me, dogs and coyotes have more distance between the toes and the pad. we see that quite often when young male gets to a certain age they are pushed out of the pack then they travel alone for a while. you will probably never see him they pretty much hide during the day and travel at night.

I know the bobcat tracks and such I see, and I believe I've seen old cougar tracks back when I was a kid in Oregon.
