Help the Wasps are Back

Our farm co-op sold me some kind of powered mix that they said will continue to repell wasps, but I can't recall what it is and haven't used it yet.

Haven't heard of the the dawn dishwashing method before.

Haven't heard of the the dawn dishwashing method before.

The soap idea came from a small *bug book* I bought for non-toxic bug control. It works for most insects, doesn't harm plants.

Well WD-40 works good to repell the wasps in back of my shutters on the house, they use to make their nest every spring. Must be they dont like the smell, you dont need a lot, I do it twice a year (in the spring) and it keeps them away!!:thumbsup:

Guess that's one of the 2,000+ uses. :thumbsup:

One time I needed to spray a paper wasp nest and I didn't have any bug spray, so I just used a bottle of Fantastic spray cleaner which did the job. I may be wrong but I am thinking any strong soap solution would work as well as Dawn. One of my former bosses told me he sprays bees nests with diesel fuel which I am sure works well but would create quite a mess on some surfaces.

I know for ants, we use a natural citrus cleaner....works great.
