So Im building a Quonset hut and need to pour the footings, Ive got all the concrete in the garage dry and need to move it to the site but now the tractor wont start. It intermittently started a few times and now wont at all. It appears to be a safety switch that wont let the starter engage.

Wiggling the FWD/RWD level would get the starter to engage so I think its that safety switch, does anyone know where it resides and if I can bypass it to get by for tomorrow???

Thank You

Can you look under the fender and see the linkage for the lever? On my TC33 the switches were there....different tractor, I know. Sometimes twigs and dirt would get to them.

Hi thanks Ill look there first, was late when I finished trying to get ready yesterday for today. Up early so I have time to tinker on it. Hopefully they did things similar and they are there.

THank you!

Hi thanks for the link to the doc, I will review that. What I did find is I couldnt see any switch/s under the fender or on the transmission. It started fine a few times and then not so I kept it running all day to get my work done. I also suspected there was a switch on the seat as it didn't seam directly tied to moving the gear level. The seat switch was already bypassed by the prior owner.

Im now suspecting the actual ignition switch but will review your doc and see if there is any other indicators for me to look at with it.

Thank You!

The ignition switch is common problem as well as I had to replace mine early on, good luck:

Thanks, I do think this may be it but the component pdf the other person shared shows there are safety switches under the fender, must be a cover under the fender to get at them.

So it does show safety switches under the fender area. THere is one bolt under there that must beholding a cover on, Ill have to dig into it. Funny looking down into the slot where the levers come out I cannot see any wires or switches under there.

Thanks!
