Not sure if you have the BIL's model # correct..... the MT225E specs are as follows:
weight: 2434 + 648 (loader w/o bucket) = 3082 lbs.
overall length: 118"
wheelbase: 66"
width: 54"
hydraulic flow: 12.3 gals/min
3 point lift: 1808 lbs
Tires: F- 25x8.5-14 R- 43-16-20

The Kioti CK2510:
weight: 2260 + 605 (loader w/o bucket) = 2865 lbs
overall length: 109.1"
wheelbase: 59.8"
width: 49.2"
hydraulic flow: 11.3 gals/min
3 point lift: 1203 lbs.
Tires: F- 23x8.5-12 R- 12-16.5

The LS is definitely bigger, including tire size.
Are you sure he doesn't have the MT225- "S" Instead of the "E"----

The "S" is a much smaller tractor than the "E"

For comparison....
The LS MT225E specs again:
weight: 2434 + 648 (loader w/o bucket) = 3082 lbs.
overall length: 118"
wheelbase: 66"
width: 54"
hydraulic flow: 12.3 gals/min
3 point lift: 1808 lbs
Tires: F- 25x8.5-14 R- 43-16-20

And the Kioti CK2610:
weight: 2646 + 928 (Loader W bucket) = 3574 lbs
overall length: 120.9"
wheelbase: 65.7"
width:54.5"
hydraulic flow: 11.7 gals/min
3 point lift: 1631 lbs.
tires: F- 27x8.5-15 R- 15-19.5

As spec'd, the LS is a little lighter (but need to add weight of bucket), 2" shorter overall, but has a higher 3 point capacity, higher hydraulic flow (not by much), and slightly bigger rear tires. The Kioti has a slightly shorter wheelbase, but slightly larger front tires.

Both of these 2 tractors are closer in size......
Again both brands are very good!

Maybe it is the S. Sure it must be. It's nice 'tho. I have tractor envy.
