Help My TC40D

Well, believe it or not, yoke shaft 24 broke right in the middle of the cam plate. It's welded super to the outside, but with a little wiggling, I can slide the pedals/shaft out far enough that the inside portion of 24 came out of the cam plate.
Who'd a thunk

I think I'm gonna cut a bigger hole and weld it while it's on, rather than try and take it off.

I think you are onto something! An access plate under the rubber mat would be terrific, especially since the shaft goes through the B-plate at the top. That should work just fine.

BTW: When you cut that hole, be prepared for finding the whole bottom of the platform is rusted. It seems to be a common thread amongst owners that we all see great chunks of paint and rusty metal coming off in sheets under that platform.

Yes, an access plate should be there, and by jove! there's one there now

Weird where it broke, right inside the "B - Cam" plate.

I had a friend with a plasma torch cut it out, had to do a little sawsall work, and careful not to hit/burn the wire harness that runs under there, and then some welding (aprox. 75% around), re-adjust the neutral eccentric a smidgen, and we're on the go again.

It wasn't rusty top or bottom.
