Wow, there sure is A LOT being made of such a simple idea.
Our neighborhood has/had the exact same green fence posts in all four corners of everones lot. The BUILDER puts these posts in the ground...not any official county agency.
I took ours (after talking to neighbors on both sides) out with the 3pt. Took all of a minute for each one.
I thought about offering the same service in our neighborhood but just never got around to it.....and the green posts are still in lawns....6 years after the neighborhood was built.
If you can get someone to pay for you to take them out go for it. One thing that also stopped me from doing it was that now days someone will ALWAYS find something to complain about and I don't want the hassle.
Some things they may gripe about:
- there is a hole in the ground where the post was....are you going to fill it and plant a handfull of grass seed to cover it up.
- your tractor made ruts in my lawn (no matter how slight)...are you going to fix it.
- are you going to haul away all the posts you remove....what are you going to do with them all
- you ran over a sprinker head and now it doesn't work (true or not)
Just my 2 cents.
