Buying Advice Help Me Make Up My Mind - Expert Advice Requested

I've looked at the MF 400 series, but they are too heavy for me to tow with my 1/2 ton pickup truck. I probably won't do much towing but it's always a possibility. Additionally, I think the 4 cylinder tractors seem to run much smoother than the 3 cylinder ones.

I looked at the JD 5000 series and I still may consider one, but I like the 3 year warranty Kubota has versus the 2 year that the other's have. It seems to me to assusme that Kubota Corp. will stand by their product for a year longer.

Considering the experiences of most of the people here, the warranty isn't much of an issue. The tractors don't require much in the way of warranty repairs. If something does go wrong, it usually can be traced back to misuse or negligence, which isn't covered by warranty. The only warranty issue that I have consistently heard about is the alternator bracket failing on the Kubota BX series tractors. Even the sticking hydro pedal seems to be a non issue as far as warranty. Most people learn to live with it, and in my case, it has gone away with additional hours on the machine. I wouldn't let the warranty issue sway your decission...

As far as subCUTs go, I wouldn't want anything but a BX. IF, however, I was lookin' at CUTs or UTs, I'd look real hard at a New Holland TC45DA with Super-Steer. 45 hp & a turn radius of about 20".

I've looked hard at the NH-TC45 & NH-TC48 and they are very nice machines, but I think that they are considered large framed compacts and I was informed by the NH dealer which is also the Kubota dealer that the Kubota M4800 a utility model would hold up better for my intended use for mowing and maintenance of my 48 acres. Any contrary advice would be greatly appreciated.
