Singletary is great......if you like him.....also look at Chris LeDoux.....lost a good one when we lost Chris.

Didnt know Chris passed away. I was lucky enough to see him in concert about 1996. Opening act for Garth Brooks. Good show. Great artist.

Cancer got him. He paints an amazing western story with some of his songs, esp if you've spent any time out west. (Johnson County War) is one of them.

Eric, I Google him, read a few links, before posting. Sad that it was 10+ years ago when he passed, and I didn't know/remember. Motivates me to find some CDs of his I have stashed somewhere after we moved nearly 4 years ago.

I got them all but they tend to repeat songs. "Western Underground" & "Powder River" would be my (CD) suggestion for covering his best music.

Yep.....Mr. Bojangles is in his 70's and still touring. What a great songwriter. Saw him many times in the LA area years ago......used to play a club called the Palamino.......which is no longer there. Did you know his real name was Ronald Clyde Crosby?

John Prine is truly a legend! Don't think I know Mike Cross unless he's in Cross Canadian Ragweed?
