Pay attention to construction quality rather than the name on it, these are not complicated pieces of machinery, I got a very good quality BB from a local discount farm equipment dealer.

I have had a Box Blade by United for over 7 years now. I used this on my BX22 and now my B2920. I was and am 100% satisfied.

Take a look at the pictures under this link - the area where you would pin the 3 pt is one of the best I have seen - for the money this is a very very stought design. I cant beleive there is much better.

United 448HD Heavy Duty Box Blade 48"

QUOTE]

Got my blade from the same dealer, same opinion on the attachment to the 3ph. What I was inferring was the local guys might have something equivalent, but you just have to find the one that realizes these things aren't gold.

My Rankin is 425 pounds or so. My Bx-24 doesn't have any problem at all with it. You just want to make sure you aren't going fast and driving over ruts with the thing in the air. I bought it in Silverdale in 2006.

I have a 48 inch Rankin box blade as well. Not sure how much it weighs, but the three point lifts it without difficulty. I purchaced it new along with my BX23, in 2004. I think I paid arround $350 for it back then.

I spent a couple of hours Saturday grooming my 700' long driveway, after heavy rains rutted it the night before. The driveway gains 100' in that distance, with the steepest incline being a 23% slope. I find, with the box blade full, dragging it up the hill, requires four wheel drive and the differential lock be engaged. On level ground, my tractor could pull something larger, but for what I need it for, the 48" unit works just fine.

Singlecoil, I grew up not far from Silverdale... born and raised on Bainbridge Island, and now live just east of Arlington.
