That is what the specs say I already had it on my tractor and it lifted it with little effort. I also unloaded it from my truck with my loader with no problem.

I opted for the TG because it is heavier built and less money. Nobody in my area had the XB in stock. I purchased from a local farm equipment store. I have had no problems with the tiller size or weight. I'm very satisfied with it. I have approximately 20 hours of tiller time. I have used it to tear up and reseed several acres along with installing huge planting beds around my property. It lifts with no problem. I also unloaded it from my truck with the loader with little effort. Just be certain you have enough ballast on.
I would be careful with measurement before cutting. I have heard from others that the shaft length can vary or the tiller could actually come with a different shaft.
Adjusting the lift control knob on my 2305 changes the down speed but not the up speed. Be careful going up as it's very fast and that's where the damage will occur if the shaft is too long. It's hard to see how much play there is because of the plastic safety shield on the shaft.

Thanks for the info guys. I did cut the shaft. When I had it all the way to the Top (shortest distance) I was able to reach in an unhook the Pto from the tractor and it move about 1.5 inches that should be plenty right.
Thanks again

"Adjusting the lift control knob on my 2305 changes the down speed but not the up speed."

Good point...

Briwhit, unless you think the tiller will bounce more than 1.5", it should be okay. How is the shaft length when it's on the ground? If you run through a rut (tractor rear goes high while tiller stays low), is there enough play to keep the shaft together?

Edit: That little issue can be remedied by putting the 3ph lever in the 'neutral' position.

It shouldnt bounce that much at all the tiller will be all the way up and not running. When it is down I have about 5.5 inches overlap.

I have a 60" KK tiller on my 2305 with iMatch. Perfect fit, no cutting of the PTO shaft required. And the 2305 works hard but runs the 60" just fine in my soil. It also lifts it just fine, with plenty of ballast in the FEL. Do you have iMatch? It adds a few inches of distance on the 3pt.

I rarely even allude to anything negative here on TBN :), but I am incredibly leary about any information shared with and/or given my by TSC and/or its representatives. I find greater value in the information sharing here at TBN :D! My problems with TSC are probably more related to poor staff education and training :(. Jay
