I need to find a draft link (LVA14238). I am being quoted $270 which seems to be a bit out of line. Almost like its a part that's expected to be replaced often and thus can be a cash cow for JD and their dealers.

1) Are there reasonable after market options (Quality/Price)

2) Are there online sellers with reasonable price/quality?

thanks Much

Not that expensive actually ( relatively speaking). I bought a pair of draft arms for a kioti DK series 3 years ago and thats what each one of them cost. It's not just Deere.

OK...At least now, I can confidently go get raped knowing it would be no better elsewhere. With shipping, I am nearly back to retail locally. Might as well see if I can get them to meet the price and get it by the weekend.

Thanks Much for the input.

If you are not in a hurry, sign up for email specials at the site linked in post #3. Sometimes they offer a percent off (last time it was 7%), or free shipping.
You also may not have any sales tax.

I will sign up...but I am in a hurry this time. My dirt goes from to wet to just right to concrete in about a day  If I don't finish the work fairly soon, I will have MONTHS I can wait.

So far I have been pleasantly surprised at how reasonable Deere parts are compared to Caterpillar...

I've found Deere parts not really priced any different than other brands.. if you do any shopping on ebay check out greenfarmparts or greenpartstore first.. Some ebay sellers are selling JD parts used for more than what JD sells them for new

I've bought cheaper jd parts on eBay. A good source too is green parts.com. The best way to do it is google the jd part number and see what comes up. Greenfarmparts.com is a good outfit too. Good luck
