I told one dealer that I wished the MX was narrower.

With a real world MX FEL lift capacity of one ton you will not want an MX wheel stance narrowed much. Wide rear wheel spread is the primary dimension increasing tractor stability.

I had one dealer tell me that you cannot set the tires in any further anyway.
I just got back from the dealer down the road. He says that it will take a month at least to get turf tires. He also does not have the rototiller or ground scraper or canopy in stock, just the tractor/loader with the industrial tires on it.
His price is lower and I cannot see how, looking at both invoices that they have written up for me. For one, he was giving me a monthly payment without the taxes figured in. He had an estimate on the monthly taxes from a kubota website. I said, gee, you cannot figure the real tax amount and add that to the total and then divide by the number of months for the loan?

One dealer did have a used Massey 2706. It had 125 hrs on it. But, by the time I added the implements and figured taxes and payment, it was not much difference in the MX5400

Ok, So after all the looking and figuring prices, I guess they are not discounting many tractors now, as they are hard to get. Implements are hard to get too.
I did really want Turf tires, but they are hard to get. By, hard, I mean it will take a while to get them.
The local dealer did give me a little off of a tractor. I had gone about 35 miles away to another dealer, but he wanted more money.
I told the local dealer I would buy the MX 5400 he has in stock. He is ordering the turf tires and the implements that I want.
He has had the tractor for a couple weeks. My wife was not really happy with the price, but I told her that with more money down, the payment will be the same as the L3901.
We had hoped to buy at the dealer 45 miles away, but he just would not budge off of retail price on everything including implements.
The local guy discounted most of the implements except for the QH. He told me that I could get the QH later and keep the payment lower that way. He said I may find I do not need the QH at all.
I would like to put a radio and speakers on the tractor. Not sure what I should be looking at as far as who makes those for tractors?
Not sure where to get the hot wire for the radio either.

I know lots of you guys feel a guy should have a cab, living in a snow belt, but I have plowed for many years with my other tractor with no cab and have not had much of an issue about that, but then I have an F250 with a plow on it for heat when I need it.
I probably will have to wait until the middle of Aug to get my tractor because of the tires.
Thanks to all who have chipped in with advice for me. I just really got tired of shopping and pricing and going back and forth on what to do. Plus I really need a tractor to help me with work I need done. The sooner I get it the better.

Good luck with your purchase,
Question, have you checked into R14T tires?

Question, have you checked into R14T tires?

The tractor i am looking at does have industrial tires on it now. If those are what you are talking about?

My old tractor had turf tires and the only place it needed help was in mud. On snow it was very good.

Can a dealer get those tires from Kubota?

A radio and speakers on an open station? You better get a 500W amplifier and some 12 inch woofers to go with it. You will need them to hear the music lol. Better to just get some Worktunes headphone and such.

I talked to the dealer. He said the R14T tires are not an option on this particular tractor.

I suppose it would take some watts and good speakers, or if it had a headphone jack. i do have a USB player with headset.
I was thinking of something I could easily switch out for my Polaris Razor
