I have recently purchased a used Harley Power rake for a rental center. Instead of using oil on the chain drive the told me the use a grease product. I think they said triple A or double A grease. They said it is a pourable type grease. The said over the years the have found I to work muck better then oil. Does any on know what they are talking about. Thanks John

My Pro 8 leaked a little in the bottom bearing. I got a pail of what they call "crusher lube". Heavier than 90 weight oil. Works good. From ESSO.

Just Looked. It's ESSO SPARTAN EP (Extreme pressure) 680, 20 litre pail. Google it.

That's what I put in the gearbox on my old beater flail mower rather than replace the seals. Common for old PHDs or rotary cutters. As long as the bearings are good the grease usually does a good enough job that the gearbox is still kicking when the machine is scrapped. Not perfect or as good as gear oil, but plenty good enough for most needs.
