Help identifying year of MF 40

Hello, I have a MF40 and trying to determine the year and the value. The serial number on the tag is 9A 124376.

Can anyone help identify this. I have tried tractor data.com but can not find much info on the MF40 serial number.

Is this an MF 40 or a Ferguson F40? I have a Ferguson F40 and I don't know much about it either. There is some info on the web about these tractors, but since then, I've lost the websites and just parked the old girl and forgotten about her. Shame on me I know.

Only the middle picture is of a North American MF40 industrial and I don’t think Massey was still selling these in ‘85. The exhaust normally comes up through the hood in the hole near the MF40 decal (this is a late mf 40 the earlier ones had larger more elaborate decals). Check the engine oil pan for a number that looks like a year. Luckily, you don’t need to know the year when you buy parts agcopartsbooks. Value of machine is more determined by its condition and supply/demand.
