Help!! I broke 2320 input shaft!

I just broke rear ujoint on 2320 main drive shaft and it looks like it took the first few inches of the input shaft
as well. I'd love some advice. I took off lower front panel and can see that removing the ring and ujoint from the engine side will be tough to access but at least possible. Question about input shaft.

Is it a nightmare repair ?. or is it removing front transmission cover and shaft either slides into a flywheel or can be replaced without deep transmission disassembly?? I can't find a parts diagram to see what could be involved. Before I call a dealer and have them pick up from distant shop for hundreds and charge huge labour, I wanted to assess the scale of a repair myself?? Thanks all in advance!

Thanks. Yes. . That looks like the same problem. Other than housing damage (not sure yet) the broken input shaft is my problem. There is a parts diagram, which is helpful.

The thread, however end up in a discussion regarding fault. I wonder if anyone knows how difficult it is to replace an input shaft? Is it entire transmission, or is the shaft part of a serviceable section under the housing cover??

I have never done this repair , but most all transmissions I have done , the whole thing has to come apart to service the input shaft.Not much help , I know, but a little insight.

My suggestion would be to stop in at your dealers and talk to the Service Manager. Ask him if he thinks you could do the repairs and what tools would be needed and what all has to be disassembled or removed to accomplish the repairs.

Hi. I just broke my input shaft on my 2008 2320 with 614 hours.
I was wondering if you could help me out. Any parts list, hints ext. would be great. I hope to fix it on my own. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
