Help ! Sombody must know about the workings of 3 pnt. hitch, as they seem to be the same on all the early models of tractors.Like in the 1950's and 60's
Here is my problem, The lift arms usually go up and down with the movemrnt of the lever just below your seat on right side. My lift arms are up as high as they go, and will not come down no matter where we move the lever. We also tried loading 500 pounds on , but no movement. The previous owner said they were going up and down, two months ago.

Not sure but there could be a knob or some adjustment to regulated the level of the arms dropping.
It can also be truned tight to keep it from dropping at all. I know on most tractors its by the seat front middle.
It might be called The Hydraulic speed control this link might explain it better

Im sure the others will want to know the year and or model..

I agree. I believe that knob will lock the arms in any position. Turn left to loosed and see if they will drop.

Do you know the make and model by chance???? sure they are all the same idea but many different ways to do the same thing. rate of drop valve is the first thing to check though .
