All submersible pumps have a check valve right at the very top of the pump where the pipe attaches. With a 2 pipe deep (over 25ft) well jet pump the jet is sized according to the depth that the water will be lifted from. EX. If you have a drill well and the water is standing 40 ft down in the casing then you are only lifting that water 40 ft. So if you put you 2 pipe jet at 60ft then you need a jet for 60ft. No matter what deep that jet is there is always a foot valve on it. Fellows I am a pipefitter plumber by trade (retired now) and I have worked on and installed more pumps than I care to remember. Merry Christmas.

Whenever I get a call from someone with the problem you are discribing , It usually is something caught in the ventury.

Inside the pump assembly is a ventury tube with a very small hole in it.

Water is forced into the chamber where the impella is through this ventury . That's how the pump builds pressure. If something gets caught in there you won't build more that 25 Pounds of pressure no matter how long you let the pump run. You will pump all kinds of water but just won't get a lot pressure.

Sometimes you can pull the inlet pipe off and see if something is in there. The only problem with that is if you poke it out of the vetury it still may come right back up into it when you start the pump.

It sounds like everything is OK down in the well.

Good Luck
