Help deciding on 5425 price...

I can pick up a 2007 5425 with 600hrs, cab, 542 (non leveling) loader, power reverser 12x12, skid steer bucket, in great shape - asking price is 36,900. Looking at tractor house, most comparables are 40-42k, so I'm thinking this is a "deal" especially if I can offer a bit less. This is my first post, new member, thanks in advance for your help! Want to move on this next day or two....

Start talking to them at a lower price then he will start haggling with you then you can both decide on a price in his and your price range. So far that sounds good. I have a 5420 that just reached its 4000th hour today. I'm very proud of him

Thanks for the positive feedback, I just ran this tractor for about 2 hours brush hogging my field...WOW!!...what a nice tractor!!

I sat in air conditioned comfort listening to the radio, watching all the bugs trying to land on my face (as they normally do) but getting stopped by the glass. I was swerving in the field as I taunted them:laughing:!! Also mowed well past dark because the exterior lights were outstanding.

Never had a cab before, never had a John Deere before. Closest thing I ever had to this was a blue TN70A. To compare, the JD (electro-hydraulic?) clutch was really smooth, and I liked how you could adjust the sensitivity of the clutch-less power reverser. These green machines might be worth the extra money after all...
