Help 4310 don't like a bath

Pressured washed my new to me 4310 this afternoon and it didn't like it, the shuttle shift will not work, tractor will not move, I know something is wet or a wire knocked loose, wheres a good place to start, I am going to let it set in the shop overnight and hope it dries out, there is a rod on the left side under the cowl, does this go up and down when the shuttle shift is operated

Just a follow up, got out there this evening and cleaned and dried everything and it still would not move, just messing arounf with it and had the shuttle forward and just changed the gear shift from 2nd to 1st without clutching and it started working, beats me, this will be a dirty Deere from now on.

A leaf blower works well to keep the machine clean without water damage. A pressure washer can blow water past seals into bearings.

A leaf blower works best. For grime or mud a soapy bucket of hot water and a garden hose (very low pressure) will get him squeaky clean with minimal chance of problems.

When I wash my 4310 I use a bucket of soapy water and a soft sponge. I use the pressure from the hose to get the dirt off. For normal after mowing cleaning I use my air compressor to blow it off. I usually only wash with water 2-3 times a year. It coincides with taking the mower deck off for the season or blade sharpening.

We power wash/steam blast everything here at least 3 or 4 times a year and have never had a probelm....sounds like anomaly to me. I would'nt worry too much about it.

It's not an anomaly,same thing happens to me if I get anywhere near the fuse box. It shifts after I let it dry out awhile.

If you must use a power washer, adjust the wand to as wide a pattern as you can. Also, keep at least 12" from any surfaces and move continuously...do not dwell at any area.
My power washer has a 1900 PSI rating. Personally, I wouldn't use any higher pressure except on the wheels and bucket.
I also suggest you regrease any zerks and spray (I use Fluid Film) any pivoting parts.
