I'm the new owner of a 48 Ford 8N and am about to dig post holes for some fence. I'm just beginning to learn how to operate the hydraulic control system before I try using the PTO with a post hole digger. Hope to hear back from folks who know how to operate this vintage equipment!

Welcome from Tennessee. I've done the exact same thing. It's not difficult at all. Watch for roots and keep a hand on that handle to guide it straight in the ground. The handle is long enough so you can lower and raise the three point hitch. Saves your back for sure. Welcome aboard. -kid

G'day and welcome to TBN from Downunder.

Sorry, I don't know how to operate a vintage 8N, but I do enjoy a good 'introduction'.

Best of luck, take your time & stay safe.
