Hello - first post but not the first time I've been to this site. Spent last fall borrowing my dad's JD 2305 with a 200CX loader as I dove into a (huge....30 year old house which we bought out of foreclosure (but had been vacant for a few years)) landscape re-do on my yard. Went from thinking it was overkill to 'I gotta get one of these'. Spent the winter doing some research (read many posts on this site) and decided a 1000 series JD was too big long term, so I wanted the 'smallest tractor that I could put a loader on'. Decided on the X700 series but the lack of loader capability on the 2013's and a lack of reasonably priced, low hour 2012's made me expand my search. Ended up finding a local (Denver) X585 with 157 hours on it and a 62" deck. Both in excellent condition. Changed fluids and filters and went about finding a loader. Bought a new on the crate JD Model 45 loader from Jim at Used Lawn - Garden Tractors - Mowers - Small Engines - Jim's Repair/Jim's Tractors which showed up last week. Spent the weekend installing all of the new valves and other pieces and got it mounted up yesterday. This site has been a great help when I have random (but very specific) questions and I figured I'd 'join'. Thanks for all that contribute to this site!
