Thanks for the welcome. I moved here from CT to retire. My wife and I have no relatives within about 450 miles. We looked at about 1000 properties, most of them online, eliminating most and finally, after a number of road trips and numerous in-person visits, found a great place in KY. We never looked back. People here are friendly and welcoming and we feel more at home here than in CT where I was born and raised.

Glad that you "came on down." We did similar except that are daughter was here with her 5 daughters that the wife wanted to be close to. The wife was from eastern Alabama anyway and me being from Tennessee it wasn't that different.

I can agree, good people down there in KY, never had a bad experience in that state, I have been there a lot in my lifetime.
